Rupa’s food is pure magic. That’s all there is to it.
Gustavo and I are kind of food snobs at this point. We’ve eaten some pretty incredible meals all over the world. And yet Rupa’s food is memorable in a way that we haven’t found anywhere else.
Every single time we ate one of Rupa’s meals, it was my new favorite. If she had a restaurant anywhere in Europe or the United States, it would absolutely deserve to win awards. And yet she’s in Kolkata just cooking for her family and the lucky guests who stay with them.
